Improving the quality of care available for acute and critically unwell patients globally

Network for Improving Critical care Systems and Training is a UK based charity and international Non-Profit Organisation, led by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and researchers from clinical care and academic backgrounds.

We share a common goal of building a collaborative network to improve acute care services in low and middle-income countries. Our network combines expertise in clinical research, health informatics, digital innovation, implementation science and education.

By developing and implementing an agile, digital information platform, co-designed by clinicians and patients we are able to evaluate existing care and identify priorities for health improvement. Together with frontline stakeholders, we undertake collaborative research to understand the processes of existing care and the barriers and the drivers to achieving high-quality care. Informed by this learning,  and utilising the information platform to provide real-time feedback, we deliver practical training and empower clinical teams to improve patient care.
